This is a story with many layers. Though it's not told chronologically, it is divided into three sections. Discuss the significance of the titles given to each part: Life, Death, and Immortality. How would the story have been different if it were told chronologically?
I read an interesting story these days. I was interested in it
though I just read part 1 of this book. This book is < The Immortal Life Of
Henrietta Lacks>. This book talked about Henrietta Lack’s life. But this
story didn’t use regular order to describe. Its’ not told chronologically. It
describes the “Immortality” first. Then talked about this story’s begin, reason
and so on. This book weaves the stories together. Author used this way to wrote,
it’s easy to make reader be interested in this story.
When I first listen the name of this book “The Immortal Life”. I
thought that would be an amazing story. How to make our life become immortality?
What are some ways we as humans can achieve immortal? I really want to know
what’s this story of the development. This story talks about a lot of social
problems. Including racism, people’s interests and doctor-patient
relationship.
The Beginning of the story. Author talked about Hela’s immortal
cells. Her cells different from other cells. They reproduced an entire
generation every 24 hours, and they never stopped. From here, I know the
“Immortal” talked about Hela’s cells never died. Point out the name of the book.
And then talked something about Hela’s childhood. How does her and her husband
known about each other. That make us know more about
Henrietta.
Author used this way to describe better than used regular way. If
she used regular way to describe. That would be boring. Just let reader know
what time what happened. That just a story. Maybe when they finished this story,
they would be forgotten. But use special way can make readers easy to understand
the story’s origin, after and the results of the story. And that can make readers
easy to remember the story.
I can learn a lot of things from this book. I will be try my best
to finish it.
