Everyone has their own values. People from different countries and have different values. Some people think education is the most important thing in their life. Some people think money is the most important thing in their life. Some people think health is the most important thing in their life. I have been in New York for one year. Before I came here, I went to the Internet and researched some information about America, American’s values and some information about American’s life. That’s better for me to follow them and enjoy their life as soon as possible. I got some information about American’s view of time and equality between people.
In America, I think everyone thinks that time is the most important thing in their life. Time is money. It doesn’t matter if you take the bus or take the class. The bus always arrives at the station on time. Teachers always begin and end on time. Whether working or studying, you should begin and end on time.
America is a free country. Whether you are poor or rich. Whether you are president or a homeless person. Everyone has the same right and duty. Whether men or women, they can do everything they want. In America, everyone is equal and they can enjoy equality.
I have learned a lot of things from America, I like this country very much.

This is a story with many layers. Though it's not told chronologically, it is divided into three sections. Discuss the significance of the titles given to each part: Life, Death, and Immortality. How would the story have been different if it were told chronologically?
I am reading an interesting story these days. I am interested in it though I have just read part one of this book. This book is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. This book talks about Henrietta Lack’s life. But this story didn’t use regular order to describe. Its’ not told chronologically. It describes “Immortality” first. This is about the main chapter’s life, childhood, her cancer and her immortal cells. This book weaves the stories together. That’s makes the reader be interested in this story.
When I first heard the name of this book “ The Immortal Life ”. I thought that would be an amazing story. How can we make our life become immortal? What are some ways we as humans can achieve immortality? I really want to know what this story’s development is. This story talks about a lot of social problems, including racism, people’s interests and doctor-patient relationship.
In the beginning of the story, the author talked about Henrietta’s immortal cells. Her cells are different from other cells. They reproduced an entire generation every 24 hours, and they never stopped. From here, I know the “Immortal” means that Henrietta’s cells never died. This is how the book gets its name. And I also know something about Henrietta’s childhood. How did her and her husband known about each other. That’s taught us know more about Henrietta.
The author used “narration interspersed with flashbacks” way to describe better than using a chronologically way. If she used the regular way to described, that would be boring. It would just let the reader know what time what happened. That’s just a story. Maybe when people finished reading this story, they would forgot what happened. But using this special way can make readers to understand the story’s origin easily.
I can learn a lot of things from this book. I will be try my best to finish it.

A Childhood Memory
I think most people have a happy childhood. There are many interesting things in their childhood. They may have some things made them feel confused or sad. I also have an interesting memory in my childhood. When I was 13 years old, our school organized a summer camp to go to America. I was very happy when I heard this news. A few days later, I began enjoy my life. I went to many famous places with my classmates. Disney land are very interesting, I saw a lot of beautiful cartoon roles there. We also visited Hollywood. It is a famous place that produces movies. We also traveled around many famous universities, such as: Harvard University, Columbia University, MIT University and so on. We also enjoyed college’s life and we lived with a host family. I learned a lot of American cultural over there. That made me felt excited. After 20 days, we went to back to China. In conclusion, I think this trip was the most interesting memory in my life. I felt relaxed about this trip and my classmates felt excited. We both want to go there again. Now, I come true my dream. I have been in America for 1 year and I can study here.
